The visual identity of Helsinki Design Week changes every year. In 2012 the theme was co-creation. Their is an old game invented by the Surrealists called the 'cadavre exquis'. A folded piece of paper is passed around a table, each person draws their own part without seeing what else has been drawn. The end result is somethings more interesting than the sum of its parts. The identity is based on this idea of co-creation. Photography: Kimmo Syväri, Paavo Lehtonen and Mikko RyhänenBranding, Graphic Design, Print Design2013 -
Icon magazine asked Bond to contribute a case for the re-design section of their magazine. There was a general feeling at the office that it was time for Santa Claus to get his act together. Belief in Santa Claus is at an all-time low. Confused by the thousands of different Santas out there, children don't know what to think. Bond gave him a facelift and a few new guidelines to help boost his credibility.Branding2012 -

Check out tobaccobody at www.tobaccobody.fi to see the site in action.
About Erkki Izarra: Tobaccobody was the first project we did together in 15 years. Back in 1997 Erkki was the first person to ever hire me and my camera at the age of 19... The project in 1997 was to shoot the portrait photos of soon-to-be professional snowboarder Joni Malmi. Both me and Joni Rookies at the time.
Erkki went on to do his thing as a creative, Joni as a snowboarder and me as a photographer. Now erkki operates in 358, Joni at Makia and me at AAE.
